Once upon a time....
  Many 1950's era vehicles were on display, either individually or used in the tableaus on the previous page  
   
 
 
  I couldn't pass up taking a picture of a fire truck for my brother Bob.  
   
 
   
 
 
 
 
  During the unrest I witnessed in Budapest, I heard reports that one of these tanks were used (hijacked?) by the protestors.
   
I just happened to catch this tank passing the House of Terror on Andrassy street. This museum is housed in the same building that served as headquarters of the dreaded AVH secret police. Hundreds died in this building, many deaths listed as "suicides".
You might have noticed a number of flags in these pictures with the centers cut out. This was done as part of the protest because the Soviets had altered the Hungarain flage by placing their symbol in the center.
Of course I couldn't pass up the chance to take a picture of runners with 1956 in the background
