Once upon a time....

Where shall I go?

Over the years, folks have suggested several places for me to go. One place was too hot, another included a not so soft landing (I sort of did that one on/off a motorcycle), and I've enjoyed fliing a kite already.

My first thought was to start off in Amsterdam. Though I've been there a few times before, I thoroghly enjoy that city and it's spirit. The whole idea of spending an entire year on the road scares the poop out of me, so I thought I'd start off in my comfort zone and venture forth from there.

Perhaps next I'll make my way through Italy. An audience with the Pope would be fun. I'm sure he wouldn't mind sharing a good German beer with me. Sue once told me an interesting story about a gondola ride in Venice. She said it was quite memorable.

With some family in Israel, I'd love to make it my next stop. It would be a great opportunity to explore ancient history and experience history in the making.

Now of course I'd have to work in some of the beaches that Cindy mentioned. Tan lines optional.

In speaking with my friend Danny, he reminded me that an aquaintence of ours from India might be able to help me with exploring that part of the world. A hiking buddy, Gitesh, has family in that part of the world as well. Instead of just mooching off my relatives, I can victimize the family of friends as well. What an international sort of guy, huh?
